Drug Formulation

2 sheng of peach kernels (soaked in hot water, with skins, tips, and double kernels removed; stir-fried with bran until slightly yellow; finely chopped), 2 liang of cinnabar (finely ground).

Instructions for Use

Take 3 dou of good, ash-free clear wine and divide it among three porcelain bottles. Add the peach kernels and cinnabar to the bottles one dou at a time, sealing each bottle tightly. Follow the standard method for brewing wine; drink one small cup warm at any time of day.

Note

Avoid sheep’s blood.
