Drug Formulation

1 green sheep gallbladder, 1 he of yellow cow bile, 1 fen of bear bile, 3 fen of carp gallbladder, 3 fen of black chicken gallbladder (5 gallbladders), and half a liang of cow bile (finely ground).

The formula is from *Shenghui* (Volume 33); the name appears in *Dongyi Baojian: Chapter on External Forms* (Volume 1).

Processing

First, mix all the gallbladders together; then add the ox bile, stir until uniform, transfer to a silver vessel, and simmer over low-to-medium heat until it becomes a paste; store it in a porcelain container.
