Drug Formulation

Cinnamomum cassia, Angelica sinensis root, Areca nut, dried tangerine peel, Fructus Aurantii (roasted),Curcuma zedoaria (roasted), Curcuma zedoaria var. trifolia (roasted), Rheum palmatum (decocted in wine), Citrus aurantium peel, Black Chou (principal herb), White Phytolacca (principal herb), Datura flower (principal herb), Euphorbia, Euphorbia pekinensis (core removed, wrapped in flour, decocted), Adzuki beans, Piper nigrum seeds, Aquilaria agallocha, Amomum villosum, Dried lacquer (roasted until smoke dissipates, principal herb), Fructus Aurantii (roasted).

Form into pills using vinegar paste, each the size of a paulownia seed.

Instructions for Use

Initially, take 90 pills per dose for 3 days; after 3 days, take 80–90 pills per dose; after another 3 days, take 70 pills per dose. Take on an empty stomach with a decoction made from 7 scallions; repeat 4–5 times as needed. After the purgation, replenish with warm congee. If vomiting occurs without purgation, this is also effective; follow with a tonifying regimen.

Note

Avoid salt for 40 days.
