Drug Formulation

Softshell Turtle Carapace (soaked in vinegar for two nights, edges trimmed, dipped in vinegar again and roasted until yellow; grind into powder and weigh) 2 liang and a half; Beijing-grown Acorus (chopped to the size of a small jujube, soaked in good vinegar for two nights, baked dry, and ground into powder; weigh) 2 liang and a half; Dried Lacquer (crushed, stir-fried until smoke rises, ground finely, and weighed) 2 liang and a half; Agarwood half a liang;Frankincense 2 qian and a half (ground separately), Areca nut half liang, Wood Fragrance half liang, Dried ginger (roasted) half liang, Myrrh (ground separately) half liang, Cinnamon bark (with coarse bark removed) half liang, Fine pine soot ink (burned to remove resin) half liang, Black pepper half liang,half a liang of radish seeds, half a liang of dried scorpions (lightly roasted to remove toxicity), half a liang of realgar (clear variety, ground into a fine powder, refined through double-boiling, and ground separately), 2.5 qian of borax (ground separately), and 2.5 qian of mercury oxide.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder and mix thoroughly. Use good vinegar to cook a thin flour paste, then form it into pills the size of small mung beans.

Instructions for Use

Take 20 pills per dose, washed down with ginger decoction brewed in light vinegar; take twice daily and once at night. If bowel movements have not yet occurred, gradually increase the dose; if mild diarrhea occurs, reduce the dose.
