Chinese Name : 珍珠十宝膏

Drug Formulation

1 qian of pearl (boiled in a tofu wrapper), 5 qian of mercury oxide, 5 qian of Hangzhou starch, 4 qian of camphor, 2 qian of frankincense (oil removed), 2 qian of myrrh (oil removed), 8 qian of beeswax, 8 fen of amber, and 3 fen of borneol.

Processing

First, place 4 liang of pork lard in a pot and melt it, then strain out the residue. Next, add white wax and melt it completely. Remove from heat, then add the five finely ground powders: pearl, mercury, Hangzhou powder, frankincense, and myrrh. Just as the mixture begins to set, add borneol, amber, and camphor, and mix thoroughly. Allow to cool and solidify, then store.
