Processing

Prepare the above herbs according to the prescribed methods, grind each into a fine, clean powder, weigh them in liang, and mix with refined honey to form pills, each weighing 4 qian.

For conditions arising from exposure to cold or heat in summer and autumn; common cold with headache; chills and fever; pain in the joints throughout the body; cholera with vomiting and diarrhea; epidemic malaria and dysentery; seasonal toxic rashes; and pathogenic influences at any time of year.

Instructions for Use

Adults: 1 pill; children: half a pill. Take with a decoction prepared as described below. For common colds, headaches, chills, fever, and pain in the joints and bones throughout the body, use 3 qian of roasted ginger and 3 scallion bulbs to prepare a decoction; dissolve 1 pill in it and take. Keep warm to induce sweating, and the condition will resolve; for cholera with vomiting and diarrhea, use 3 qian of roasted ginger and 3 qian of hearth soil to prepare a decoction; dissolve 1 pill in it and take;For malaria, use 3 qian of roasted ginger and 3 jujubes; decoct in water and dissolve 1 pill in the decoction; take this one hour before the onset of the malaria attack; for bloody dysentery, use 3 qian of honeysuckle and 2 qian of charred, stir-fried psyllium root; if abdominal pain is present, add 1 qian and 5 fen of Guangmuxiang; decoct in water and dissolve 1 pill in the decoction; for white dysentery, use 3 jujubes,2 qian of roasted ginger, and 3 qian of brown sugar; boil in water and dissolve 1 pill in the decoction; for epidemic fever, use 8 fen of peppermint, 5 qian of red adzuki beans, and 5 fen of roasted Bupleurum root; boil in water and dissolve 1 pill in the decoction; for rashes, use 5 qian of Scrophularia root, 2 qian of Anemarrhena rhizome, and 1 qian of roasted Cimicifuga root; boil in water and dissolve 1 pill in the decoction; for pregnant women, use 5 qian of Angelica root, 8 fen of roasted Scutellaria root,1 qian 5 fen of amomum, decocted and taken with 1 pill dissolved in the liquid; for postpartum conditions, use 8 qian of angelica sinensis, 8 fen of processed ginger, and 3 qian of motherwort, decocted and taken with 1 pill dissolved in the liquid.
