Drug Formulation

1 liang of high-quality cinnamon bark (scraped to remove coarse bark), 5 fen of musk, 5 qian of high-quality indigo powder, 1 liang of black beans, 5 qian of Japanese sulfur, 1 liang of white angelica root, 5 qian of pure realgar, 1 liang of white alum, 2 qian 5 fen of croton seed powder, and 5 qian of cinnabar (may also be used as a coating).

Processing

Do not roast these herbs over fire; grind each into a fine powder, then mix with glutinous rice porridge to form pills the size of a soybean.

Instructions for Use

Insert into the nostril—the left for men, the right for women—and remove after the prescribed time has elapsed. Reinsert on the following day until the condition is cured.
