Drug Formulation

1 Chebulic myrobalan (chopped, pitted), 5 qian Coptis, 3 liang Orpiment (water-floated).

Processing

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder. Take 10 liang of high-quality honey, boil it to remove the white foam, and strain it thoroughly. Place the powdered mixture in a silver or copper vessel, and simmer over alternating high and low heat. Stir with a locust twig until it forms a paste; stop when it turns purple. Store in a clean porcelain container and bury it underground for one fu to remove the fire toxicity.

Take an amount the size of a soybean each time, dissolve it in warm water, and use the solution to wash the eyes.
