Drug Formulation
Fennel (roasted) 1 liang, Green Tangerine Peel (white pith removed) 1 liang, Licorice (roasted) 1 liang, Pongamo (processed) 1 liang, Chuanxiong 1 liang, Dried Tangerine Peel (white pith removed) 1 liang, White Angelica Root half a liang, Clove Bark (processed) 1 liang, Cardamom half a liang, Cinnamon Bark (peeled) half a liang,4 liang of fresh ginger (sliced, soaked in half a liang of salt overnight, then stir-fried until black), 2.5 qian of black pepper, 2.5 qian of asafoetida (soaked in vinegar overnight, then mixed with flour to form a paste).

Processing
Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Mix with the asafoetida paste to form pills the size of a water caltrop. For every 1 jin of pills, coat them with 7 qian of cinnabar.

Instructions for Use
For men with qi-related pain, take 1–2 pills with a decoction of stir-fried ginger and salt; for women with blood-qi disorders, take with vinegar decoction; for regular use, take 1 pill, chew thoroughly, and swallow with tea or wine as desired.
