Drug Formulation

5 liang of ginseng, 5 liang of asparagus root (core removed), 5 liang of Huai raw rehmannia (washed with wine), 5 liang of Huai prepared rehmannia (steamed with wine),Ophiopogon (core removed) 5 liang, Huai Achyranthes (root without the base) 5 liang, Sweet Goji Berries 8 liang, White Polygonum 8 liang, Red Polygonum (all coarsely chopped into pieces) 8 liang, Aged Deer Antler (scorched to remove hair, cut into 2-cun lengths, split into two pieces, and washed thoroughly with water) 20 liang.

Processing

Place all the above herbs into a large earthenware pot, decoct five times, strain out the residue, and decoct again until reduced to 5 bowls; the gel is then ready.

Instructions for Use

Take 2–3 silver teaspoons per dose, dissolve in good wine, and take on an empty stomach; or, it is even better to dissolve the gel in wine and form it into pills.
