Drug Formulation

1 fen of white alum (burned to ash), half a liang of Coptis (stems removed), 10 qian coins, 3 fen of Fangfeng (root tips removed), 3 fen of Puxiao, 1 he of Rehmannia juice, and 3 fen of white honey.

Instructions for Use

Wrap the mixture in cotton, place it inside a slender green bamboo tube, add the Rehmannia root juice and honey, cover tightly with a silk oil-soaked cloth, and tie the tube’s opening securely. Steam it inside a pot of cooking rice; once the rice is cooked, pour out the contents. Filter through cotton, take a small amount, and apply it to the affected area 3–4 times daily.
