Drug Formulation

2 liang of Sichuan Coptis, half a sheng of jujubes, 1 liang of dried ginger, and half a liang of alum.

Processing

Place the ingredients in a clay pot, seal it tightly with a mixture of mud and salt, leaving a small opening. Heat over a charcoal fire until the smoke subsides, then remove and grind into a fine powder. Form into pills the size of millet grains using wheat flour paste.
