Drug Formulation

3 daqian of Indigo Powder, 1 soapberry-sized piece of Mercury (roasted with black lead until it forms a sandy texture), 2 qian of Cold Food Flour, 2 qian of Yellow Gelatin (roasted until charred, then ground into powder), 5 qian of Light Powder (roasted), 1 qian of Realgar (water-floated),1 qian of silver powder, 1 qian of cinnabar (water-washed), 21 croton seeds (with skin, membrane, and oil removed), and a small amount each of borneol and musk.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder; add water drop by drop to form pills the size of a sesame seed; flatten them by hand; dry in the sun; and store in a porcelain jar.
