Instructions for Use

On the 5th day of the 5th month or the 6th day of the 6th month, at the hour of Yin, harvest the herb while it is still covered in dew; pound it to extract the juice, boil it down to a paste, and form it into a cake. Take one carp weighing one and a half jin, split it open without removing the intestines or swim bladder, insert one cake of the paste, and sew it closed with thread. Simmer with two bowls of wine over low heat until the liquid has evaporated. Have the patient eat the entire fish. The condition will be cured after no more than four or five fish.

Note

Avoid salt for 100 days.
