Drug Formulation
Acacia Pods (peeled; select the black ones, roast, and grind into a powder) 1 he, Horse-Tooth Salt (ground) 3 qian, Raw Rehmannia Root (pounded to extract natural juice) 1 he, Clarified Butter (refined) 1 liang.

Processing
Place the Rehmannia juice in a silver or stone vessel and heat over a combination of gentle and vigorous flames. First add the Sophora fruit powder, then the ground Ma Ya Xiao, stirring continuously to maintain a gentle boil resembling fish eyes. When the mixture has reduced by half, add the clarified butter and boil for another three to twenty times. Pour into a porcelain container.

Instructions for Use
Before going to bed each night, insert a dose the size of a jujube pit into each nostril, remove the pillow, lie on your back, and stretch out your legs. Do not be alarmed if foul fluid emerges from the brain.
