Formulas Name : Amber Decoction

Chinese Name : 琥珀煮散

Drug Formulation

Amber (ground) 1 qian, Myrrh (ground) half liang, Puhuang (stems removed, sliced, and roasted) half liang, Red Peony Root (roasted) half liang, Turmeric half liang, Safflower half liang, Trichosanthes Root half liang, Cowhage Seed half liang, Corydalis half liang, Peony Bark half liang.

Grind the ingredients into a powder.

Benefits

Following a miscarriage, when retained lochia fails to discharge, accompanied by pain in the lower abdomen.

Instructions for Use

Take 3 qian per dose; decoct with equal parts of a child’s urine and wine (half a zhan each) until reduced to 7 fen; take while warm. For distension and pain in the epigastrium, take 2 qian per dose, mixed with warm wine.
