Drug Formulation

4 jin of Angelica sinensis, 2 liang of Chuanxiong, 4 liang of Codonopsis, 4 liang of White Peony, 4 liang of Prepared Rehmannia, 4 liang of Astragalus, 4 liang of Poria, 15 jin of Donkey-hide Gelatin, and 2 liang of Fried Licorice.

Processing

Take 4 jin of coarse Angelica sinensis powder, add 8 jin of 60% ethanol, and macerate for one week; filter and recover the ethanol. Then mix the Angelica sinensis residue with Chuanxiong, Codonopsis, White Peony Root, and other herbs in a pot; add five times the volume of water, macerate at room temperature (70°C) for 4 hours, and filter twice as usual;To the final filtrate, add 15 jin of ejiao; combine it with the Angelica sinensis extract and concentrate the mixture. Then add 13 jin of sucrose to form a thick paste.
