1 large male duck, 3–4 large rat snakes (each over one chi in length).

For severe leprosy characterized by stiffness in the hands and feet and complete loss of hair on the head and eyebrows.
Instructions for Use
Starve the duck for 1–2 days; the following morning, feed it the snakes cut into one-cun pieces. Wait until the duck has digested them, then slaughter the duck, pluck the feathers, remove the intestines but retain the gizzard and other parts. Braise these with wine and seasonings until tender, then eat them. Drink several cups of wine afterward to become slightly tipsy and warm, induce a thorough sweat, and avoid drafts for several days.
