Drug Formulation

5 qian of ox bile, 1 qian of amber, 1 qian of cinnabar (as a coating), 1 qian of realgar, 1 liang of bile-processed star anise,5 qian of calcined calcite (calcined over fire), 1 qian 5 fen of agarwood, 1 qian 5 fen of rhinoceros horn, 2 liang of scutellaria (stir-fried), 2 liang of rhubarb (steamed with wine), 5 qian of gastrodia (stir-fried with ginger), 1 liang of acorus, 7 qian of dried silkworm (stir-fried with ginger), 5 qian of cicada slough (legs removed), and 2 pig hearts (with blood).

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder; mix with bamboo sap and pig heart blood to form pills the size of mung beans.
