Drug Formulation

10 liang of Cnidium monnieri, 10 liang of Melia azedarach, 10 liang of prepared Rehmannia root, 10 liang of raw Rehmannia root, 10 liang of raw apricot kernels, 10 liang of Cinnamomum cassia, 10 liang of Dipsacus asper, 10 liang of processed Aconite root, 10 liang of Achyranthes root,Dodder Seed 10 liang, Wood Turtle Seed 10 liang, Eupatorium 10 liang, Purple-tipped Flower 10 liang, Asparagus Root 10 liang, Ophiopogon Tuber 10 liang, Fleshy Fruit 10 liang, Cistanche 10 liang, Licorice 64 liang, Tiger Bone 16 liang.

Processing

Crush the above herbs as appropriate, fry them in 640 liang of sesame oil until charred, then filter to remove the residue. Add 336 liang of cinnabar, 336 liang of colophony, and 16 liang of deer glue, and boil down into a paste. Then mix in: 2 liang of musk, 64 liang of borneol,10 liang of ground sulfur, 10 liang of cinnabar, 10 liang of ground dragon bone, 10 liang of ground Yangqishi, 10 liang of ground toad venom, 10 liang of ground clove buds, 10 liang of ground frankincense, 10 liang of ground myrrh, 1 liang of ground wood fragrance, 10 liang of ground agarwood, and 10 liang of ground realgar. Spread the mixture into plasters for external use, each weighing 5 qian.
