Drug Formulation

1.5 liang of raw Chinese yam, 1.5 liang of Huai-style prepared rehmannia root, 8 qian of wild ginseng, 5 qian of talc, 5 qian of raw Hangzhou peony root, 2 qian of licorice, and 1 sour pomegranate (pounded with the peel; if unavailable, substitute with 1 liang of calcined oyster shell, ground into powder).

Instructions for Use

Decoct the above herbs in 5 zhong of water. First, boil the sour pomegranate for more than 10 boils, strain out the residue, then add the remaining herbs and decoct until reduced to 2 zhong. Divide the decoction into two doses and drink warm.
