Drug Formulation

1 liang of Angelica sinensis (roasted), 1 liang of Cinnamomum cassia, 1 liang of Acorus tatarinowii, 1 liang of Aquilaria agallocha, 1 liang of Manis pentadactyla (roasted until charred), 1 liang of carp scales, 1 liang of Polygonum aviculare pollen, 1 liang of Paeonia lactiflora, half a qian of Hirudo (chopped and stir-fried with lime), and half a qian of wood-boring beetle (with head, wings, and legs removed, stir-fried).

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder, form into pills the size of a Paulownia seed using glutinous rice porridge as the binder, and coat with cinnabar.
