1 clove of garlic.

Processing

On the Dragon Boat Festival, pierce a hole in the garlic clove with the tip of a chopstick, insert one shelled croton seed; for a large clove, insert two seeds. Wrap it in damp paper and bake until cooked; discard the seeds. Remove the outer layer of skin from the garlic, mash it until pulpy, then add five more garlic cloves and one qian of cinnabar. Mix with day-old steamed buns to form pills the size of a paulownia seed.

Instructions for Use

On the day an attack is expected, take one pill on an empty stomach with well water. For children under 10 years old, the pill should be the size of a sesame seed.

Note

Avoid raw, cold, and greasy foods for 3 days; also refrain from hot soups and broths for one period.
