Processing
Cut the ingredients into pieces the size of pine nuts, soak them in 1 jin of sesame oil,5 days in spring, 3 days in summer, 7 days in autumn, and 10 days in winter. Then simmer over alternating high and low heat in an earthenware pot until the White Angelica root turns reddish-yellow. Filter out the residue through silk or cotton cloth. Simmer the oil further until reduced, then add half a jin of Orpiment. Stir with a willow branch until a drop of oil placed in water forms a bead that does not disperse. Check that the consistency is firm yet not sticky to the touch, then transfer it to a porcelain container.

Instructions for Use
To prepare as an ointment, measure the medicine into a small vessel and melt it over low to medium heat; to make pills, form them into the size of a chicken’s head, coat them with oyster shell powder, and take them with decocted soup or wine;For injuries caused by snakes, tigers, scorpions, or dogs, as well as burns, cuts, or wounds from axes, this formula may be taken internally or applied externally; for boils on the back, first wash the affected area with warm water, pat dry, apply the ointment with a piece of cotton, and take 1 pill with warm water; for chronic scrofula, apply the ointment and take 1 pill with warm water; for various atrophic sores, wash the area with salt water, apply the ointment, and take 1 pill with wine;For contusions and bruises, apply externally and take 1 pill with tangerine peel decoction; for lower back and knee pain, apply externally and take 1 pill with salted water; for women’s blood and qi disorders, take 1 pill with Akebia and Licorice Decoction; for red or white vaginal discharge, take 1 pill with wine; for hemoptysis, take 1 pill with Mulberry Bark Decoction;For wind-induced red eyes, apply to the temples and take 1 pill with Gardenia Decoction; for cough and sore throat, wrap 1 pill in cotton and let it dissolve in the mouth; for all wind-related and chronic wasting diseases, take 1 pill with Bupleurum Decoction; for all boils, abscesses, and swollen, painful sores, as well as various forms of scabies, refine the pill separately with a small amount of oil, mix into a paste, and apply evenly; use for various ailments according to their specific conditions.
