Drug Formulation

1 liang of large Aconite Root, 1 liang of Sichuan Aconite, 4 cardamom seeds, 4 areca nuts, 1 liang of cinnamon bark (unroasted), 1 liang of black pepper, 1 liang of green tangerine peel, 1 liang of Pinellia, 1 liang of sulfur, 1 liang of realgar, and 1 liang of imported anise.

Processing

Grind all the herbs into a powder, except for the sulfur and realgar; finely grind the sulfur and realgar. Simmer them in half a zhan of rice vinegar over a bowl of hot water. Next, use half a bowl of rice vinegar, add one tablespoon of the ground sulfur and realgar mixture, and boil together to form a thin paste. Mix this with the previously prepared powder to form pills the size of a paulownia seed.
