Processing

Take 4 liang of sesame oil, add a willow branch 3 chi 4 cun long, and simmer together until the willow branch turns black; add the powdered herbs mentioned above and simmer until the mixture turns purple. Strain through silk to remove the residue, then simmer for several more boils. Next, add 1–2 qian of orpiment and frankincense, and simmer until it becomes a paste. Store in a earthenware jar.
