Drug Formulation

2 liang of rhubarb, 2 liang of white angelica, 1 liang of Acorus tatarinowii, 1 liang of Curcuma zedoaria, 10 Mu-bie seeds, 10 centipedes, 15 scales of pangolin, 150 croton seeds, 150 castor beans, 5 gardenias, 5 qian of Coptis, and 300 cun of acacia and willow twigs.

Processing

Take 2 jin of sesame oil; simmer with the herbs until it turns black, then strain out the residue; add 1 jin of orpiment and simmer until water droplets form beads when added; then add 5 qian of dragon’s blood, 5 qian of aloe, 5 qian of turmeric, 5 qian of mercury oxide, 5 qian of asafoetida, 5 fen of musk, 2 qian of Coptis chinensis, and 2 qian of borax; grind into a powder and mix into the oil.
