Formulas Name : Ginseng and Purple Aster Decoction
Chinese Name : 人参紫菀煎
Drug Formulation
Ginseng (with root tip removed) 1 liang, Aster tataricus 1 liang, Lily bulb 1 liang, Fritillaria 1 liang, Tussilago flower 1 liang, Apricot kernel (soaked in hot water, peeled and de-tipped, stir-fried with wheat bran) 1 liang, Licorice (roasted) 1 liang, Platycodon root 1 liang, Asarum (leaves and soil removed) half a liang.

Processing
Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder; then grind the apricot kernels until fine. Mix thoroughly with the other herbs and form into pills using refined honey, making 15 pills per liang.

For lung invasion by cold pathogens, manifesting as coughing, shortness of breath, fullness and oppression in the chest and diaphragm, and aching pain in the limbs.
Instructions for Use
Take 1 pill after meals and before bedtime; chew thoroughly and swallow with warm, boiled water.
