Drug Formulation

2 liang of ginseng, 2 liang of goji berries, 2 liang of asparagus root (core removed), 2 liang of raw Huai rehmannia, 2 liang of prepared Huai rehmannia, 2 liang of angelica root, 1 liang of white poria, 2 liang of ophiopogon tuber (core removed), and 2 liang of he shou wu (prepared as usual).

Instructions for Use

Use 24–25 jin of wine, divided between two jars. Place half of each herb into a small silk pouch and place the pouches in the jars. Seal the jars tightly with a flour paste. Simmer over a mixture of mulberry and firewood embers for the duration of two sticks of incense. Wait one seven-day period before consuming.
