Formulas Name : Great Lepidium Pills

Chinese Name : 大葶苈丸

Drug Formulation

1 liang 1 fen of Tingli (simmered and ground into a paste), half a liang of Zeqi stems (simmered), half a liang of Red Poria (black skin removed), half a liang of Aged Tangerine Peel (soaked in hot water, white pith removed, and roasted), 3 fen of Gan Sui, 3 fen of Phaselus seeds, and half a liang of Prunus mume kernels (ground).

Processing

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder, mix with refined honey, and form into pills the size of a paulownia seed.

Benefits

For edema accompanied by shortness of breath preventing sleep, with swelling of the head, face, and entire body.

Instructions for Use

Take 5 pills per dose, gradually increasing to 7 pills, and swallow them with a decoction of red adzuki beans or hemp seeds, twice daily. Continue until urination and bowel movements become slightly more frequent. If thirsty, drink a decoction made from red adzuki beans or hemp seeds.
