Drug Formulation

Rehmannia glutinosa (prepared), 8 liang (boiled in clear water, mashed, and added to the formula); Paeonia suffruticosa bark, 3 liang (roasted); Cornus officinalis (pitted), 4 liang (mixed with wine, steamed, sun-dried, and stir-fried); Dioscorea opposita (Huai), 4 liang (stir-fried until yellow); Poria cocos, 3 liang (mixed with human milk, sun-dried, and roasted);Alisma 2 liang (mixed with lightly salted water, sun-dried, and stir-fried), Polygala tuber 2 liang (simmered thoroughly in concentrated licorice decoction, sun-dried, and roasted), Schisandra berries 1 liang (each cut into 2 slices with a copper knife, mixed with honey and wine, steamed, sun-dried, and roasted), Ophiopogon tuber (with core removed) 3 liang (roasted).
