Formulas Name : Ice Musk Upper-Clearing Pills
Chinese Name : 冰麝上清丸
Drug Formulation
4 liang of catechu, 5 fen of genuine opium, 5 li of musk (grind these three ingredients into a fine powder), 5 qian of Sophora flavescens root, 2 qian of Platycodon grandiflorus, 2 qian of Terminalia chebula, 5 qian of Coptis chinensis, 3 qian of Mentha haplocalyx, 3 qian of Scrophularia ningpoensis, 3 qian of powdered licorice, and 5 qian of wind-dissolving powder.

Processing
Decoct the latter eight ingredients, strain out the residue, and boil down to a paste; mix with the powder of the first three ingredients to form pills the size of a water caltrop.

Instructions for Use
Take 1 or 2 pills at a time and let them dissolve in the mouth.
Note
Contraindicated for those with constitutional weakness rather than actual “fire” syndrome.
