Drug Formulation

5 qian each of ox bile and borneol; 1 liang each of musk, white angelica root, manchurian armadillo shell, and calcined clam shell powder; 2 liang each of frankincense and black pepper; 2 liang of natural copper; 4 liang of rhubarb; 2 liang of myrrh; 2 liang of Angelica sinensis root tips; 2 liang of peach kernels; 2 liang of sappan wood; 2 liang of Wulingzhi; 2 liang of safflower; 2 liang of red peony root;Wood Fragrance 2 liang, Acanthopanax Bark 2 liang, Dragon’s Blood 2 liang, Green Tangerine Peel 2 liang, Unnamed Herb 2 liang, Melon Rind 2 liang (roasted), Euphorbia and Thousand-Gold Seed (oil removed and cleaned) 4 liang each, Earth Tortoise Worm 1 sheng (baked dry), Potato Root 5 qian, Mountain Arrowhead 1 liang, Cinnabar 5 qian.

Processing

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder, mix with refined honey to form pills the size of a marble, coat with cinnabar, then coat again with gold leaf. Dry in the sun, place in a porcelain jar, and seal tightly to prevent air from escaping.
