Processing
First, select the herbs, dry them in the sun at midday, and grind each into a fine powder. Weigh the ingredients according to the formula. Mix 5 jin of refined honey with donkey-hide gelatin dissolved in wine until well blended. Pound the mixture in a stone mortar 6,000 times to form pills, each weighing 2 qian. Dry the pills thoroughly in the sun, coat them with cinnabar, encase them in beeswax, and store in a dry place.

Instructions for Use
In cases of suspected early pregnancy accompanied by abdominal distension and vomiting, take 3 fen of cardamom seeds decocted in water; for dizziness, take 8 fen of Fangfeng decocted in water; for vertigo, take 1 qian 5 fen of roasted honeysuckle flowers decocted in water; for fetal restlessness, take 5 fen of mugwort wool and 1 qian of Scutellaria baicalensis decocted in water;For fetal choking, use 0.5 fen of mulberry bark, decocted and taken orally; for fetal restlessness, use 7 pieces of bamboo leaves, decocted and taken orally; for a “suspended fetus”—where fetal movement is unstable, as if an object were suspended in the abdomen, drifting and difficult to stabilize, accompanied by mental confusion and delirium—use 0.8 fen of red Poria,1 scallion white, decocted and taken orally; for fetal obstruction (Zi Mao)—a condition more critical than fetal suspension, caused by excessive blood heat and heart fire, with fetal qi surging upward toward the heart and the placenta obstructing the heart—manifesting as a flushed face, clenched jaws, and impending death—use 1 qian of Ophiopogon tuber and 5 fen of antelope horn, decocted and taken orally; for fetal swelling (Zi Zhong), use 1 qian of Acanthopanax bark and 1 qian of red Poria skin, decocted and taken orally;For fetal dysuria, use 1 qian of Plantain Seed, decocted and administered orally; for threatened miscarriage, use 2 qian of Raw Rehmannia Root, decocted and administered orally; for hematuria, use glutinous rice, decocted and administered orally; for urinary retention, use 8 fen of Winter Mallow Seed, decocted and administered orally; for tidal fever, use 1 qian 5 fen of Anemarrhena Rhizome, decocted and administered orally; for cough, use 1 qian 2 fen of Apricot Kernel and 5 fen of White Mulberry Bark, decocted and administered orally;For common cold and malaria, use 4 fen of Perilla stem and 5 fen of Schizonepeta, decocted and taken orally; for fetal injury due to falls or blows, use 5 fen of Atractylodes macrocephala and 1 qian of Angelica sinensis, decocted and taken orally; for incomplete labor, use 2 qian of Leonurus japonicus, decocted and taken orally; for failure of the pelvic bones to open during labor, use 3 qian of turtle shell, decocted and taken orally;For transverse or difficult labor lasting several days without delivery, or fetal death in utero, use 1 qian of Chuanxiong and 2 qian of Danggui, decocted and taken orally; for retained placenta, use 2 qian of Niuxi and 1 qian of Sandalwood, decocted and taken orally; for retained lochia, use 5 fen of Wulingzhi, 5 fen of Peach Kernel, and 5 fen of Raw Pu Huang, decocted and taken orally;For postpartum shortness of breath, administer half a cup of mature lotus root juice or 3 spoonfuls of ginger juice; use according to the specific symptoms; for collapse due to deficiency, use 0.5 fen of ginseng, decocted and taken orally; for dysentery before or after childbirth, use 3 qian of coix seed, decocted and taken orally; for postpartum swelling, use 1.5 fen of Poria skin and 1 qian of Angelica sinensis, decocted and taken orally; for postpartum exhaustion, use 3 qian of official swallow’s nest, decocted and taken orally;For retrograde menstruation with hemoptysis, take with lotus root juice; for metrorrhagia and menorrhagia, take 3 qian of salted white dried fish, decocted in water; for irregular menstrual cycles—whether early, late, or irregular—resulting in difficulty conceiving, take 3 pills each time during the menstrual period; this will regulate the menstrual cycle and facilitate conception; take with hot water; for various conditions occurring before or after childbirth that cannot all be listed here, take all with hot water.
