Drug Formulation

Arsenic: 1 liang (Take 1 liang of burned motherwort ash and 1 liang of burned Dusao ash; grind them evenly with the arsenic. Mix with rice vinegar to form a lump, let it dry, then place it on a new tile over 5 jin of hot charcoal fire and calcine until it turns completely red. Fan vigorously to remove all ash; the arsenic will form a lump resembling a jade pompon. Grind it into a fine powder),2 liang of oyster shell (seal with salt and mud; allow to dry; calcine over 5 jin of charcoal until completely red-hot; fan vigorously to remove all ash; the arsenic will form a lump resembling a jade pompon; grind to a fine powder), 2 liang of white alum (calcine over fire until it turns to liquid; wait until completely dry; weigh 1 liang after removing impurities; grind to a fine powder), 1 liang of stalactite powder.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into an extremely fine powder. Prepare a thick paste by boiling glutinous rice, then shape the mixture into pills the size of a chicken’s head and air-dry them in the shade.
