Drug Formulation

2 jin of northern jujubes (crack open with pits intact, cut into chunks, roast until warm, mix with sesame oil until moistened, roast for 1 day, then while still hot, coat evenly with cooked glutinous rice paste, and roast until dry); 2 jin of fresh ginger (sliced); 7 liang of licorice (roasted, finely chopped).

Processing

Soak the licorice and ginger overnight; then stir-fry them over alternating high and low heat until dry. Next, roast them together with the jujubes until thoroughly dry, and grind into a powder.
