Drug Formulation

2 sheng of glutinous rice (soak, pound into powder, and sun-dry until completely dry; if slightly damp, it will lose its fragrance), 1 jin of yellow gelatin (half a jin of cowhide gelatin may also be used; roast until it puffs up, then pound and sift; roast the remaining bits until they form beads, then pound again to extract everything), 2 jin of soapberry (peeled),1 sheng of dried paper mulberry seeds, 1 liang of Bletilla striata, 1 liang of Cynanchum atratum, 1 liang of Angelica dahurica, 1 liang of Atractylodes macrocephala, 1 liang of Ligusticum chuanxiong, 1 liang of Asarum sieboldii, 1 liang of Atractylodes lancea, 1 liang of Asarum sieboldii, 1 liang of Glycyrrhiza uralensis, 1 liang of Lindera aggregata, 1 liang of white sandalwood.

Instructions for Use

Grind the above ingredients into a powder and mix them together to form a facial wash paste. Add the soapberry powder separately, adjusting the amount as needed to achieve the desired consistency of the paste. The mixture should be just warm enough to wash the face without being too hot; the powder should not be ground too finely.
