Drug Formulation

4 liang fresh Jianlan leaves, 4 liang Southern Glehnia root, 4 liang Northern Glehnia root, 4 liang Sichuan fritillary bulb, 2 liang elephant’s tusk fritillary bulb, 4 liang winter mulberry leaves, 2 jin 8 liang fresh loquat leaves, 1 liang purple aster, 2 liang winter honeysuckle flowers, 7 qian 5 fen platycodon root,2 liang of tangerine peel, 4 liang of winter melon seeds, 2 liang of Scrophularia root, 8 liang of clam shells, 4 liang of fresh lotus root juice, 2 liang of fresh rice leaf dew, and 4 liang of Ya pears.

Processing

Decoct a total of 3 times, squeeze out all the liquid, and discard the residue. Clarify and filter the decoctions from all three batches, add 2 jin 8 liang of rock sugar, simmer until thoroughly dissolved, filter to collect the paste, yielding approximately 2 jin of paste.

Instructions for Use

Take 4 qian each time, dissolved in boiling water, twice daily; reduce the dose by half for children.
