Camphor and Musk Pills

Formulas Name : Camphor and Musk Pills

Chinese Name : 龙脑麝香锭子

Drug Formulation

3 qian of borneol, 2 qian of musk, half a qian of mercury oxide, 3 qian of mercury carbonate, half a qian of realgar, 1 qian of frankincense, half a qian of orpiment, and 14 croton seeds (with skin and tips removed).

From *Pu Ji Fang*, Volume 283.

Processing

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder and form into pills the size of a wheat grain using dry rice.

Instructions for Use

Apply directly to the sore. Apply as a poultice to treat malnutrition-related sores; grind into a fine powder and apply directly to the affected area.

Note

Avoid cold water.
