Drug Formulation
2 liang of Clove (mother), 2 liang of Zixiao Flower, 2 liang of Cistanche (soaked in wine), 2 liang of Dodder Seed (soaked in wine), 2 liang of Cnidium Monnieri, 2 liang of Morinda Root, 2 liang of Epimedium, 2 liang of Poria (peeled), 2 liang of Polygala (seed removed),2 liang of Star Anise, 2 qian of Lampwick, 1 liang of Bichengjia, 1 liang of Walnut Meat, 1 liang of Plantain Seed, 1 liang of Smilax Glabra, 1 liang of Horse-tail Flower (soaked in wine), 1 liang of Oyster Shell (roasted over fire 6 times), 1 liang of Chive Seed, 1 liang of Akebia Stem (soaked in wine), 3 liang of Dried Lacquer (roasted until smoke-free),Cornus officinalis 1 liang and a half, Polygonum cuspidatum (soaked in wine) 1 liang and a half, whole scorpion 1 liang and a half, silkworm cocoon (soaked in wine) 1 liang and a half, dragon bone 1 liang and a half, prepared Rehmannia root 5 liang, Angelica sinensis 5 qian, agarwood 5 qian, styrax 5 qian, large spiders 7 (one version omits silkworm cocoon, Angelica sinensis, and frankincense).

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder, mix with refined honey to form pills the size of a paulownia seed.
