Drug Formulation
Yellow Dog’s Lower Jaw (Cut off the lower jaw along with the tongue, skin, and fur; place it in a jar; seal it tightly with salt and mud; cover the opening with an iron cup; calcine for the duration of one stick of incense; stop as soon as the smoke becomes clear; be sure to preserve its nature—do not overcook, as overcooking renders it useless; the best result is when the bone ash is pure black; if it has a whitish tinge, its nature has been overcooked, and it should not be used.When using, grind it to a very fine powder), white Polygonum cuspidatum powder, and pea flour (commonly known as “water cold bean” or “small cold bean”; use raw) in equal parts.

Instructions for Use
Take 5 qian of each of the above three ingredients as a standard dose, mix with wine, and take on an empty stomach. Externally, mix equal parts of the three ingredients to form a poultice, blend with sesame oil, and apply to the affected area. The effectiveness is determined by the appearance of foul-smelling sweat and deep sleep following ingestion.
