Drug Formulation
3 liang of areca nut, 3 liang of cinnamon bark, 2 liang of aconite root (roasted), 3 liang of trichosanthes fruit, 3 liang of apricot kernels (roasted), 2 liang of dried ginger, 2 liang of licorice root (roasted), 3 liang of ephedra (knots removed), 3 liang of astragalus root,3 liang of Poria, 2 liang of Magnolia Bark (roasted), 3 liang of Houttuynia (roasted), 3 liang of Pepper Seeds, 5 he of Evodia, 3 liang of Atractylodes, and 2 liang of Stephania.

Processing
Grind the above herbs into a fine powder, mix with refined honey to form pills the size of a paulownia seed.
Benefits
For edema in the elderly and children; deficiency-type edema; and edema caused by a severe illness leading to shortness of breath.
Instructions for Use
Take 2 pills per dose, 3 times a day. If no effect is observed, slightly increase the dose to 4 pills; if still no effect, add another 2 pills; if no bowel movement occurs, take 4 pills again. A mild bowel movement is considered a sign of efficacy.
Note
Avoid seaweed, Chinese cabbage, pork, cold water, raw scallions, peaches and plums, sparrow meat, and strong vinegar.
