Drug Formulation
5 qian of ephedra, 2 liang of notopterygium, 2 qian of cimicifuga, 1 qian of white sandalwood, 1 qian of bai ji, 1 qian of saposhnikovia, and 1 qian of angelica root.

Processing
Soak the herbs in 5 liang of sesame oil for five days, then simmer over low heat until the oil is completely reduced; remove the herbs. Strain the residue through fine cloth, add 5 qian of beeswax, and simmer until it boils several times; set aside to cool completely to remove the heat toxicity.
