Longmu Fumao Decoction,In individuals with yin deficiency who have contracted typhoid fever or warm-heat diseases, the erroneous and excessive use of harsh, drying, diaphoretic, or purgative medications has led to a protracted illness. This has caused the true yin to become severely depleted in the lower jiao, resulting in unrooted fire suddenly surging upward. Qi becomes congested and phlegm rises, obscuring the clear orifices, leading to sudden convulsions and collapse,a red and shortened tongue, a pale face, eyes closed but mouth open, hands unable to grip firmly, hoarse voice and shortness of breath; in severe cases, profuse cold sweat, cold hands and feet, involuntary urination and defecation, faint breathing, a pulse that is deep and hidden, or faint and lifeless, or unresponsive to the finger.

Jilin Ginseng 1 qian, Aged Donkey-hide Gelatin 1.5 qian, Chicken Egg Yolk 1 (wrapped and decocted), Raw Turtle Plastron 8 qian, Raw Oyster Shell 8 qian, Flowered Dragon Bone 2 qian, Raw Softshell Turtle Carapace 4 qian, Genuine Tortoiseshell 1.5 qian, Raw White Peony Root 3 qian, Ophiopogon Tuber 3 qian, Raw Rehmannia Root 4 qian, Fried Licorice Root 1.5 qian, Large Kan Qi 1 piece(washed with wine).

Instructions for Use

Decoct 2 bowls of water until reduced to half a bowl, then take the decoction. If phlegm obstructs the throat, causing a desire to vomit but lack of strength, and the medicine cannot be swallowed, first take a decoction of fresh Acorus tatarinowii prepared with 4 fen of genuine monkey-date powder.
