Aconite Root (peeled and navel removed) 1 liang, Achyranthes Root (stem removed) 1 liang, Tiger Tibia (fried with butter) 1 liang, Cnidium Fruit 1 liang, Dodder Seed 1 liang, Sichuan Dipsacus Root 1 liang, Polygala Root (flesh) 1 liang, Cistanche 1 liang, Asparagus Root (core removed) 1 liang, Ophiopogon Tuber (core removed) 1 liang,Almond 1 liang, Raw Rehmannia 1 liang, Prepared Rehmannia 1 liang, Cassia Bark 1 liang, Sichuan Melia Fruit (pitted) 1 liang, Cornus Fruit (pitted) 1 liang, Morinda Root (pitted) 1 liang, Polygonum Multiflorum 1 liang, Eucommia Bark (peeled) 1 liang, Trichosanthes Seed (shelled) 1 liang,Nutmeg 1 liang, Purple-tipped Flower 1 liang, Eupatorium 1 liang, Sichuan Tortoise Shell 1 liang, Hemp Seeds (shelled) 1 liang, Deer Antler 1 liang, Licorice 2 liang (finely ground; add only after the other herbs have been dried), Mulberry Twigs 7 cun, Locust Twigs 7 cun, Willow Twigs 7 cun.

Processing

Finely chop the above ingredients. Soak them in 1 jin 4 liang of genuine sesame oil for one day and one night, then simmer over low heat until the mixture turns black; add 8 liang of well-sifted high-quality yellow丹 and 4 liang of yellow incense, stirring vigorously with a willow stick until the mixture becomes too thick to stir; then add 2 liang each of realgar, Japanese sulfur, dragon bone, and red cinnabar. Test the consistency by picking up the mixture with a copper spoon—it should form beads when dropped into water and not disperse;Then add 2 qian each of mother clove, agarwood, wood fragrant, frankincense, myrrh, yangqi stone, calcined toad venom, and mute hibiscus, along with 1 qian of musk ground into a powder; mix all thoroughly into the mixture; then add 5 qian of beeswax. Store the ointment in a porcelain jar, seal the opening tightly, and immerse it in water for 5 days to remove the fire toxicity.
