Drug Formulation

5 liang of male rat meat (sliced and roasted), half a liang of aged tangerine peel (with the white pith removed and baked), 3 fen of softshell turtle shell (roasted in vinegar and with the frills removed), 3 fen of Beijing-grown Acorus tatarinowii (steamed and chopped), 3 fen of Prunus mume kernels (skinned and ground), and half a liang of fresh ginger (sliced and baked).

Processing

Grind the ingredients into a coarse powder and divide into 3 doses.

Instructions for Use

For each dose, decoct with 1 sheng of water until reduced to half a sheng; strain out the residue. Add 1 he of glutinous rice and five spices, and cook into porridge. Consume on an empty stomach.
