Chinese Name : 茅根橘皮汤

Drug Formulation

1 sheng of white mao root (sliced), 3 liang of tangerine peel, 2 liang of cinnamon bark (sliced) (one version includes 2 liang of kudzu root).

Chop the ingredients as directed.

Benefits

For cases of cold damage occurring in spring or summer, where a cold stomach causes hiccups.

Instructions for Use

Boil 6 sheng of water down to 3 sheng, strain out the residue, and divide the liquid into 3 warm doses. Take them frequently until the decoction is finished; then prepare another batch. Continue until the hiccups cease, at which point treatment should be stopped. Induce a light sweat.

Note

Avoid raw green onions.
