Drug Formulation

Cistanche (soaked in wine, sliced, and roasted) 2 liang, Chinese yam 1 liang 1 fen, Schisandra berries (roasted) 1 liang 1 fen, Dodder seeds (soaked in wine for 3 days, roasted until dry, then ground into powder separately) 1 liang, Red cinnabar (ground) 1 liang,Poria cocos (white) (black skin removed) 1 liang, Alisma orientale 1 liang, Prepared Rehmannia glutinosa (roasted) 1 liang, Cornus officinalis (roasted) 1 liang, Morinda officinalis (core removed) 1 liang, Rubus chingii (stems removed) 1 liang, Dendrobium nobile (roots removed) 1 liang.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Prepare a paste by boiling flour in wine, then add a small amount of honey to form pills the size of a Paulownia seed.

Take 20–30 pills per dose on an empty stomach before meals, washed down with warm wine; millet porridge may also be used.
