Drug Formulation

Half a liang of Sichuan Aconite (roasted, skin and navel removed), half a liang of Tiannanxing (roasted), half a liang of dried scorpion tails, half a liang of white flower snake (soaked in wine overnight, skin and bones removed, baked dry), and 2 dried red-headed centipedes (soaked in wine and ghee, then roasted until yellow).Pound all of the above ingredients together, sift into a fine powder, and set aside for later use); cinnabar (finely ground, water-washed) 1 fen, iron powder 1 fen, frankincense 1 fen, ox bile (finely ground) 1 fen, and high-quality genuine musk half liang (ground separately).

Processing

Grind the first set of ingredients into a fine powder and mix thoroughly. Prepare a wheat flour paste by boiling it in wine; once cooled, mix it with the powder to form cakes the size of a water caltrop.
