Formulas Name : Ointment for Reducing Swelling and Relieving Pain

Chinese Name : 散肿止痛膏

Drug Formulation

Fresh colophony (simmered until melted and filtered) 6 liang; castor seeds (pounded until pulverized) 4 liang; camphor 1 liang; calcined glass beads (sifted) 5 qian; verdigris (suspended in water and sifted) 2 qian.

Processing

First, melt the rosin in a double boiler; then add the other four ingredients and mix thoroughly. Boil aged oil paper in licorice decoction, air-dry it, and apply the mixture to the affected area.
